Victor Tsoi (Виктор Цой), a name synonymous with Russian rock, was the frontman and driving force behind the legendary band Кино. Born on June 21, 1962, in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg), Tsoi became a cultural icon whose influence extended far beyond music, leaving an indelible mark on Soviet and post-Soviet society.

Victor Robertovich Tsoi displayed an early talent for the arts, attending the Serov School of Art. However, his passion for music soon took precedence.
