Blackmore's Night
Blackmore's Night is an English folk rock band founded in 1997 in UK by the legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore (co-founder of Deep Purple and Rainbow), and his mistress, lead vocalist and lyricist Candice Night. The band's style is inspired by Renaissance and Medieval European music, but also occasionally features modern instrumentation.
The origins of the band lie in 1990 when Candice was working at a local New York rock music radio station, and as part of her work first encountered Ritchie
