this plays throughout the song, although it gets a bit buried at times.
|--------3--0--------|-------3-----0-------0---||

|--0-----------------|-0-----------------------||
|--------------------|-------------------------||
i transcribed bits and pieces of the piano playing, and this is the
basic thrust of it. feel
free to adlib on these scales and whatnots.

|--15---14--------|-------------------|----------------------------|----------------||
|------------16---|-----17-16-14------|----------------------------|----------------||
|-----------------|-------------------|--15---14---12----14--12----|-------12-------||
|-----------------|-------------------|----------------------------|----------------||
|-----------------|-------------------|----------------------------|----------------||
|-----------------|-------------------|----------------------------|----------------||
the piano initially does this scale while the violin is off in its own
little world, but the
violin comes around and pretty much mimics the piano after a few
seconds.
(1:04 - piano) (1:28 - violin)

|-----16-17-16-14-13------------||
|--14-----------------15---14---||

and then there's this cool part. you've still got the original guitar
going under this, and
it sounds like he maybe has some sort of doubled fifth/chorus effect on
his guitar to give it
that ultra cool sound that almost makes it sound like a synth of some
sort. i had an effect
programmed into my zoom 505 pedal that sounded similar to this, so if
you have one, mess around
and see if you can't make one similar. if you aren't fortunate enough
to have a zoom 505,
maybe just try using some nice, lush chorus, and that should get you
through.
(1:50)
|------3---2------------||
|-----3----3--3/5-5-----||
|----0-----0--2/4-4-----||
|---0------0------2-----||
|-----------------------||
|--3--------------------||
beyond this, it just gets pretty chaotic and goes improv mainly. i
suggest just sticking with
that original riff and letting your drummer hit stuff for awhile -
basically that's what's going
on in the song. have fun!
